What We Use
🐝 Propolis — A resin bees create from tree sap to seal and protect their hive. In skincare, it's antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant-rich — a go-to for acne-prone and reactive skin. Read the full propolis guide

🐝 Beeswax — A natural wax bees secrete to build the honeycomb. It seals in moisture, creates a breathable barrier, and is naturally non-comedogenic. Read the full beeswax guide
🌿 Witch Hazel — A plant-derived astringent that helps balance oil and tighten the look of pores, commonly used in our toner.
🖤 Activated Charcoal — A deep-cleansing ingredient that draws out oil, pollution, and impurities without stripping the skin. (dedicated page needed)
🪨 Bentonite Clay — A mineral-rich clay that absorbs excess sebum and helps clarify congested pores.
🌱 Tea Tree Oil — A natural antimicrobial used to target blemishes and calm breakout-prone skin.
🌾 Willow Bark — A natural source of salicin, which works similarly to salicylic acid to gently exfoliate and clear congestion.
🍃 Green Tea Extract — Packed with antioxidants (catechins) that help defend skin against environmental stress.
🌵 Aloe Vera — A hydrating, soothing plant extract that calms irritation and supports the skin barrier.
What We Leave Out — and Why
- Parabens — synthetic preservatives linked to hormone disruption concerns; we use natural preservation systems instead
- Sulfates (SLS/SLES) — harsh detergents that can strip the skin's natural barrier
- Synthetic fragrance — undisclosed fragrance blends that are a common source of skin irritation and sensitization
- Phthalates — plasticizing chemicals often hidden inside "fragrance" on ingredient labels
- Mineral oil / petrolatum — occlusive by-products of petroleum refining; we use plant and bee-derived emollients instead
